Press Release CityNett selects Azotel WISPer to enable broadband rollout in Norway John O’Hare, CEO and founder of Azotel Technologies (www.azotel.com) announced that CityNett (www.citynett.no) a wireless broadband operator in Norway, had selected the Azotel WISPer platform to power it’s broadband network. The Azotel WISPer platform is a proprietary core network and management solution for broadband ISPs. CityNett is deploying a wireless broadband network and VoIP services in Norway, following recent deregulation of the frequency bands by the Norwegian government. The Azotel WISPer platform enables Azotel to carry out a range of critical network management functions for CityNett at minimal cost. These range from providing a complete Core Network, the provisioning of subscribers, accounts software, managing bandwidth and providing critical network monitoring and advanced technical support services. Other services include customer invoicing, tracking subscriber billing, and providing customer usage statistics. CityNett was introduced to the Azotel WISPer solution by Motorola at the Wireless Broadband Forum in Cambridge, UK. The WIB-C allowed CityNett to access Azotel’s WisPer platform over the Internet. Within 3 days of requesting the Azotel service, CityNett was up and running using Azotel's solution and migrating it’s existing customer base from the Cisco platform. By using Azotel, CityNett now has a complete integrated Core Network, automated billing, provisioning and network administration. With automated routines and a stable wireless network, CityNett can now turn the focus away from technology since they know that the system works.
