Taking the award for Best Business Plan and Presentation was John O'Hare of Amacom, provider of high-speed always-on broadband Internet access services. Other winners included Advanced Axonics, a company which uses IT to deliver diagnostic services to the clinical trials market, as well as MadForTrad, Sensory Research and F4Energy. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister for Trade and Commerce Michael Ahern said that the origins of tomorrow's large-scale businesses can be found in today's entrepreneurs, and that he would "like to think that some of those future success stories are in this room".
